Case Data You Enter
All case information you enter — including client names, assets, debts, and distribution calculations — is stored securely in your private account on Google Firebase (Firestore).
This data is accessible only to your authenticated account, never shared with third parties, never used for advertising or analytics purposes, and encrypted in transit and at rest.
You are responsible for ensuring that any client data you enter into the App complies with your professional obligations, including attorney-client privilege and applicable bar rules.
Free Trial
Equify offers a free trial period prior to paid subscription. During the trial, the same data collection practices described in this policy apply. If your trial expires and you do not subscribe, your account and associated case data will be retained for a reasonable period to allow you to reactivate. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.
Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:
- Google Firebase — Authentication, database (Firestore), crash reporting, and performance monitoring. Privacy Policy
- Stripe — Subscription payment processing. We do not store your payment card information. Subscription metadata (plan type, status, billing timestamps) is retained in our system to manage your access. Privacy Policy
Subscriptions & Payments
Equify uses Stripe to process subscription payments. Payment is handled entirely by Stripe's secure checkout — we never see or store your credit card number. Subscription status is verified through our secure backend to enable access to the App.
Subscriptions are managed outside of Apple's in-app purchase system. You can cancel anytime through the billing portal linked within the App.
Device Limits. Your subscription plan may limit the number of devices that can access Equify simultaneously. Device ID is used solely to enforce these limits and is not used for advertising or cross-app tracking.
Data Retention & Deletion
Your account data is retained as long as your account is active. To request deletion of your account and all associated data, contact us at the email below. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.
A deletion request will result in permanent removal of the following:
- Your account credentials and authentication records (Firebase Auth)
- All case data, including client names, assets, debts, and calculations (Firestore)
- All photos and videos attached to your cases (Firebase Storage)
- Your device binding records and subscription status
Stripe's own records of payment transactions may be retained by Stripe in accordance with their data retention policies and applicable financial regulations, independent of our deletion process.
Children's Privacy
Equify is intended for legal professionals and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
